Samsung's selfieSmart Galaxy Grand Prime may launch in India later this week

Hexaget : Galaxy Prime It looks like Samsung is considering the launch of a selfie focused camera in the Galaxy Grand line, dubbed the Galaxy Grand Prime, in India later this week. A retailer based out of Mumbai revealed that the retail price of the handset in the country will be Rs. 16,000 ($260), with a street price of Rs. 15,250 ($248). The key feature in the Galaxy Grand Prime is the inclusion of a 5 MP wide angle lens at the front, which assists users in taking better selfies. Other specs of the device include a 5-inch qHD screen, 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, 8 MP camera at the back, microSD slot up to 64 GB, dual-SIM functionality and a 2,600 mAh battery. The thickness of the device is listed as 8.6mm, and the retailer also mentioned that the Galaxy Prime will feature 14 regional languages out of the box. Nvidia reveals HTC Nexus 9 with Tegra K1 processor coming before September end

Nvidia has unknowingly let it slip that HTC will launch the Nexus 9 by the end of September. Nvidia had filed a patent lawsuit charging both Samsung and Qualcomm with infringing seven of its GPU patents. A part of the lawsuit reveals that the HTC Nexus 9, powered by the Tegra 1 processor, is expected in the third quarter of 2014. Evidently, Google has moved away from Asus for producing its affordable 7-inch tablet. The HTC-made Nexus 9 is expected to be a rather premium device with an attractive feature-set in store. You can expect it to feature an aluminium zero-gap construction, which means it’s going to rival the iPad Mini with Retina Display – not to mention also look better than older Nexus tablets. Sony teases what is likely the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and new smartwatch

Everyone is teasing soon to be released products in the run up to IFA 2014 . Sony is getting in on the action and the image above, obtained by Xperia Blog , is showcasing two devices that have yet to be announced by the company. If the location of this image is any indication, Sony will stay true to its design language and keep everything water resistant. The main device here is what is expected to be the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact . This is a version of Sony’s flagship tablet that has an 8-inch display, the smallest size the company has ever done for a tablet. Sony has typically stuck with larger tablets and has never offered more than one at any given time. Of course, this promotional image has the tablet showing Spiderman , a film produced by one of Sony Pictures’ studios. The other device shown is a smartwatch. It is not expected to run Android Wear and so it will likely mean that this is the Smartwatch 3 , but the watch face does seem like something found on Google

Sony unveils Xperia M2 Aqua, a mid-range water-resistant phone

Sony has launched a water- and dust-resistant version of its mid-range smartphone, Xperia M2. Christened as Xperia M2 Aqual, Sony claims it comes with the world's highest level of waterproofing available in a smartphone. Sony Xperia M2 Aqua boasts an IP65/68 waterproof rating. In compliance with IP65 and IP68, the phone is protected against the ingress of dust and is waterproof. According to Sony, the phone is protected against low pressure jets of water from all practicable directions in compliance with IP65; and/or can be kept under 1metre of water for up to 30 minutes in compliance with IP68, provided all ports and covers are firmly closed. Sony clarifies that the phone is not designed to float or work submerged underwater outside the IP65 or IP68 classification range. It's not the first smartphone to be certified IP 68.
