Everyone is teasing soon to be released products in the run up to IFA 2014. Sony is getting in on the action and the image above, obtained by Xperia Blog, is showcasing two devices that have yet to be announced by the company. If the location of this image is any indication, Sony will stay true to its design language and keep everything water resistant.
The main device here is what is expected to be the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. This is a version of Sony’s flagship tablet that has an 8-inch display, the smallest size the company has ever done for a tablet. Sony has typically stuck with larger tablets and has never offered more than one at any given time. Of course, this promotional image has the tablet showing Spiderman, a film produced by one of Sony Pictures’ studios.
The other device shown is a smartwatch. It is not expected to run Android Wear and so it will likely mean that this is the Smartwatch 3, but the watch face does seem like something found on Google’s wearables platform. Either way, the hardware looks drastically better than what Sony has released in the past.
