Samsung Galaxy Note Edge with three-sided display announced

In addition to the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung also took the wraps off its unique Galaxy Note Edge phablet at its Unpacked Episode 2 event in Berlin. The phablet has a three-sided display with one side of the display spilling over the side to meet the edge of the phone.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy Note Edge is quite similar to the standard Galaxy Note 4. It too flaunts a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, but with QHD+ resolution, which adds an extra 160 pixels on the third side of the display. The other exception is a smaller battery — 3,000mAh.

Other specifications include 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor or an Exynos 5433 processor depending upon the region, 3GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, 4-megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. On the software front, it too runs on Android KitKat.
