Sony Xperia Z3 Compact images, Z3 specifications surface before IFA



Details for two of Sony's IFA launches may have leaked before thecompany's event on Wednesday. Photographs of a smartphone believed to be the Xperia Z3 compact have surfaced, showing a range of color options for the device, while another image claims to show the complete specifications list for the larger Xperia Z3.
The images from Ausdroid appear to show the Xperia Z3 Compact as having black, white, green, and red variants, as well as the usual rocker volume control, power button, photo button, and magnetic docking section as other Xperia devices. The smartphone is believed to have a 4.6-inch 720p display backed by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz with 2GB of RAM, along with a rear 20.7-megapixel camera and a 2,600mAh battery.

The photo of the Xperia Z3 received by Phone Arena shows the list attached to the back of what could be the smartphone in question. A quad-core 2.5GHz processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage is expected, with the rear 20-megapixel Exmor RS camera capable of ISO 12800 photo and ISO 3200 4K video, and accompanied by a front 2-megapixel Exmor R sensor. Stereo speakers, noise cancellation, NFC, IP55 and IP59 water and dust-proofing, MHL 3.0, and a 3,100mAh battery said to last for up to two days in Stamina Mode will also apparently make an appearance, with the phone fronted by a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS Triluminos display.
